Project 1: A homestead providing food and pleasure for one family.

Small vegetable garden close to the kitchen door ensures fresh veggies in the kitchen.
Small natural pool with berry patch on gravel soakage paths. Pool can be used for swimming and grows some fish. Small earth sheltered picknick area facing the sun and covered in aromatic herbs.
Vegetable beds are tilled by chickens in movable housing and grows larger staple crops. Greenhouse facing south produces abundant plant starts.
Small food forest of about 20 fruit trees.
A helofyte filter cleans the black water, wild rice is grown using the greywater and doubles as a privacy screen during summer.
Project 2: A biological water filtration system and ecological zone. This design oxigenates and filters dirty water into very clean drinkable water. I drank it, to see if it worked 🙂
The main earthworks are done.

Project 3: A strawbale tiny home.

After a week of hard work the temporary roof is on. Time for a beer.
Rain on the horizon and time is pressing to have the roof on.
Roof nearly done! Working late was an every day thing during this stage.
Making the first batches of Cob for plaster. Cob is a mixture of clay, sand and straw.
Cob plaster on the walls. This will later be covered with a limewash paint.
